LwM2M: Zephyr and nRF Connect SDK
Settings for the LwM2M client of Zephyr and of the nRF Connect SDK (e.g. the lwm2m_client sample),
added to prj.conf or an overlay file.
LwM2M 1.1 and the compact formats
The client registers as LwM2M 1.0 with TLV by default. For LwM2M 1.1 with SenML:
CONFIG_LWM2M_VERSION_1_1=y CONFIG_LWM2M_RW_OMA_TLV_SUPPORT=y CONFIG_LWM2M_RW_SENML_CBOR_SUPPORT=y CONFIG_ZCBOR=y CONFIG_ZCBOR_CANONICAL=y CONFIG_LWM2M_RW_SENML_JSON_SUPPORT=y CONFIG_JSON_LIBRARY=y CONFIG_BASE64=y
Bootstrap with DTLS
CONFIG_LWM2M_RD_CLIENT_SUPPORT_BOOTSTRAP=y CONFIG_LWM2M_CLIENT_UTILS_SERVER="coaps://164.30.75.205:5784"
Store a key from the Keys page in the modem, with the endpoint name as identity (e.g.
urn:imei:351234567890123), under the bootstrap security tag
(CONFIG_LWM2M_CLIENT_UTILS_BOOTSTRAP_TLS_TAG, 35724862 by default). The bootstrap server then writes
the account of the LwM2M server with the same identity and key. In the Zephyr sample the server address is
CONFIG_LWM2M_APP_SERVER.
Queue mode
CONFIG_LWM2M_QUEUE_MODE_ENABLED=y CONFIG_LWM2M_QUEUE_MODE_UPTIME=30
The device stays reachable for the given number of seconds after each message it sends.
Firmware updates
The firmware download uses its own DTLS connection. To use the key the bootstrap server wrote for the LwM2M server, set the downloader to the LwM2M server's security tag:
CONFIG_LWM2M_CLIENT_UTILS_DOWNLOADER_SEC_TAG=35724861
